Hello and Welcome to Marin County.
Did you know that Marin County is among the ten most affluent counties in the nation? Nestled amid 520 square miles of rolling hills and rugged coastline, Marin County is the crown jewel of Northern California. Fifteen minutes from the center of the chic, cosmopolitan city of San Francisco, and 20 minutes from one of the most sumptuous California wineries in this hemisphere, Viansa Italian Winery and Marketplace in Sonoma. We have several micro-climates with weather to suit just about every taste! When the midwest is under snow, we are on the golf course!
Marin County is an enchanting place, from Mill Valley and her majestic
redwood groves, to Stinson Beach and her miles of white sand. Corte Madera has homes built
on a channel to the bay and also on Christmas Tree Hill! Sausalito is a little
mediterranean village inhabited by artists, computer genius’s and entrepreneurs with
access to San Francisco by a ferry. Tiburon has schools rated in the top 1% of the nation,
not to mention the views of San Francisco and The Golden Gate Bridge from many of the
beautiful homes!
The County has 17 private tennis clubs, and many public ones. We have six golf courses, three yacht clubs and dozens of swim facilities. Stables are abundant and riding lessons are a big part of Marin’s recreational life.
Criss-crossing the trails of the Point Reyes National Seashore, Golden Gate Recreational Area and our famous Mount Tamalpais, is a popular weekend activity shared in Marin by many families and hiking clubs alike.
The Sausalito Yacht Club, St. Francis Yacht Club and The San Francisco Yacht Club are all in Marin. Needless to say boating is very popular here. Many homes come with private boat docks, and you could always chose to live on a houseboat in Sausalito and dock your boats right outside your door!
